New Download Functionality

The new download functionality directs any file that you download from PreVeil into a “PreVeil Downloads” folder directly in your PreVeil Drive. This functionality applies in both Mail and Drive.

Mail

If you receive an email in your PreVeil Mail inbox that has an attachment, when you click on the attachment, it will download directly into your Drive.

  • Click on the attachment to initiate the download.

  • When the download completes you will receive this notification.

  • Now if you go to the My PreVeil section of your Drive, you’ll see a folder there called “PreVeil Downloads”

  • Inside that folder you will see the attachment from the email.

Drive

The same download functionality is available in Drive.

  • Click the checkbox next to a file in your Drive to bring up a details pane.

  • In the details pane, click on the Download button.

  • When the download completes you will receive this notification.

  • Go into the “PreVeil Downloads” folder and the file will be found there.

Additional Notes

  • The “PreVeil Downloads” folder will be created automatically the first time you use this functionality. You do not need to create it manually.

  • Downloads of email attachments that are 500 MB and larger is not supported by this functionality.

  • You must keep the PreVeil desktop app’s browser session open to ensure the download completes.

  • Once a download has started, it’s not possible to cancel it.

  • Only one download can be done at a time.

  • There’s no progress indicator.
