How to Set Up a Passkey or Security Key in PreVeil Express

Adding a passkey or security key to your PreVeil Express account enhances your security by choosing the multi-factor authentication (MFA). Follow these steps to set it up:

Step 1: Access Your Account Settings

1. Log in to your PreVeil Express account.

2. Click on your gear wheel icon in the top-right corner of the interface.

Step 2: Change Your Authentication Method

1. In the Settings menu, select Change Authentication Method to update your 2FA preferences.

Step 3: Choose a Security Key or Passkey Option

1. You’ll see an option to add a security key or passkey.

2. Choose the method you’d like to use:

   • Security Key: Select this option if you’re using a FedRAMP-compliant physical device, such as a YubiKey.

   • Passkey: Opt for this if you want a passwordless sign-in that ties directly to your device.

2. For a security key, insert the device into your computer’s USB port or tap it on an NFC-enabled device, as prompted.
