PreVeil Color Codes
When adding an email address into the To: field of a PreVeil email or the Invite: field of a folder being shared in Drive, you will get a visual indicator as to if:
The email address has a PreVeil account associated with it.
The email address does not have a PreVeil account associated with it.
The email address does not have a PreVeil account associated with it, but has been whitelisted in the Email Gateway.
The email address is a Group Email address.
Orange Stripe
An orange stripe indicates an email address that has a PreVeil account associated with it. This will be represented not as the email address you typed in, but as the name associated with that account. In this scenario, the email you’re sending or the folder you’re sharing in Drive will be shared with that user within their PreVeil account.

Gray Stripe
A gray stripe indicates an email address that does not have PreVeil associated with it. PreVeil operates in a closed network, and that means that with a PreVeil account you can only communicate with other PreVeil users. In this scenario, the intended recipient will not receive the email you’re trying to send or the folder you’re trying to share; instead, they will receive an invitation email to create a free PreVeil Express account. Once they create that account, you will be able to communicate with them via PreVeil moving forward.

Yellow Stripe
A yellow stripe indicates an email address that has been whitelisted in the PreVeil Email Gateway. The Email Gateway is an add-on that can be purchased by out enterprise customers, and allows them to email non-PreVeil recipients. For those recipients, they will not need to create a PreVeil account to receive those emails, as they will receive those emails in their regular mailbox and PreVeil will be transparent to them. Note that the Email Gateway functionality only applies to emails sent via PreVeil and not data being shared with Drive, so you would only see a yellow striped address in the To: field of an email.
Red Stripe
A red stripe indicates an Email Group, which is a distribution list comprised of members of your PreVeil organization. In this scenario, when you send an email or share a folder in Drive with a group address, the email or folder will be shared with all the members of that group. Mousing over this entry in the To: field of an email of the Invite: field in Drive will show the members of that group.
