Desktop PreVeil Version 5.8.4

Overview

This update introduces enhancements to the viewer windows in PreVeil Drive that now allows for viewing of some movie file types, as well as text files with a .log extension, as well of sorting of entries in the Email Gateway and Trusted Community whitelists. Additionally, various bug fixes improve system stability and administrative functionality, such as trusted device management, Data Export, and Activity Logs

Summary of Updates

• New Features

  • Drive viewer - Ability to view videos in the Drive viewer. This currently supports 1GB videos of type .mov and .mp4.

  • Drive viewer - Ability to view log files (text files with .log extension).

• Bug fixes

  • Data Export fix - Ensure a data export can be canceled once reaching the approval process even after navigating away from the Data Export page or refreshing the browser.

  • User's list in the Admin console fix - UI fix to prevent an Express user from being promoted to Admin.

  • User dialog in the Admin console fix - UI fix to display the name of the user properly.

  • Activity logs fix - UI fix to add to the filter the user that's filtered by clicking on its name in a given log.

  • User's counter in list in the Admin console fix - The counter should show the number of users that are pending to get assigned to an approval group.

• Improvements

  • Admin console - Trusted Community and Email Gateway pages - Sorting has been added to the tables in these pages.

  • Trusted Devices page in the Admin console - Allow drag and drop of certificates to add new ones.
