Error: <IP address> not permitted to access PreVeil in Key Menu Diagnostics
Example: https://collections.preveil.com/ping: IP address 64.56.100.35 is not permitted to access PreVeil
Overview
Users may encounter an error in Key Menu diagnostics stating that a specific IP address is not permitted to access PreVeil. This typically appears during account setup or registration and prevents further action.
PreVeil Express users may find the error in the browser console logs.
How to Find the Browse Console Logs
These instructions are for Google Chrome, but are generally the same for Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox.
Click the ellipsis, place the mouse over More tools, then click on Developer tools.
Click on the Console tab.
Look for errors which usually appear in red text. Take a screen shot of the error messages.
Root Cause
This error usually indicates that the IP address has exceeded the permitted threshold for account creation attempts. PreVeil enforces rate limits to protect against automated abuse and excessive account generation from a single IP.
Resolution
To resolve the issue:
Submit a support ticket to PreVeil Support.
Include the affected IP address and a brief description of the error.
PreVeil Support will review the block and, if appropriate, reverse the restriction.
Notes
Organizations using shared networks or onboarding multiple users in parallel may trigger this unintentionally—please coordinate with IT or onboarding leads.
