Drive File Version History

File Version History is a feature in the PreVeil application that allows users to view and manage previous versions of a file stored in their PreVeil Drive. With this feature, you can either revert a file to an earlier version or download a copy of a previous version.

This is especially useful if a file is accidentally modified, corrupted, or if you need to recover earlier content.

Version Retention

Up to 15 previous versions of a file are accessible directly within the web browser interface.

If you need to restore a version older than those shown, please contact PreVeil Support. Our team can assist with retrieving earlier versions when available.

Accessing File Version History in PreVeil Drive

  1. In your web browser interface, navigate to the file in PreVeil Drive.

  2. Click the vertical three-dot menu (⋯) next to the file.

  3. Select Details as shown below.

  4. In the Details panel, click Get Version History to expand the version list.

  5. Locate the version you want, then click the vertical three-dot menu (⋯) next to it to view available actions.

      Revert - Restores the file in PreVeil Drive to the selected previous version. This replaces the current version with the chosen one.

    2. Download - Downloads the selected version to your PreVeil Downloads folder within your Drive.
