By default, PreVeil will configure the following settings for any of our DIB customers. These settings will apply to every user within these organizations:

CUI Banner

A CUI banner that will appear on any computer within your PreVeil organization. This banner will come up anytime the computer is rebooted, or if the computer is not rebooted it will come up once every 24 hours. The banner will only apply on the computers in your organization, not any mobile devices that your users have access to their accounts on. (Note: Once the banner has been enabled, the computer will need to be rebooted before the banner will start to appear.)

Biometrics Requirement for Access to the PreVeil Mobile App

A requirement to use biometrics (fingerprint or facial scan) to open the PreVeil app on any mobile devices within your organization.

Disabling File Export from the PreVeil Mobile App

Disabling the ability to export any data from the PreVeil mobile app on Android and iOS devices onto the mobile device’s local storage.

If the setting is not configured, users would have an Export option for files in Drive on the mobile app.

When the setting is configured, the Export option is removed.

Health Check Email

A health check email that will be sent to all organization administrators once a week on Saturdays at 7pm EST. This email will detail the following:

  • Users that do not have a recovery group assigned to their account.

  • Users with an incomplete recovery group assignation, meaning a user who’s had a recovery group assigned to their account, but where the assignation hasn’t completed due to an inability to access that user’s PreVeil encryption key.

  • Users for whom their key is not available to the Approval Group assigned to the Data Export activity, meaning that you would not be able to perform an export of their account data

  • People that were invited to join your organization but who’s invitations expired after the two week invitation period.

  • People who were invited but have not yet claimed their accounts and who’s invitations will expire in a week.

For further information on how to remediate any of the issues indicated by the health check email, please see link support article
