We are aware of an issue with PreVeil as it regards to a security software called Kaseya. The issue occurs when the following steps have occurred:

  1. PreVeil is installed on a computer where Kaseya is also running.

  2. A PreVeil account is created on that computer.

  3. The computer is rebooted.

This will result in the user of that computer being unable to login to their Windows account after the reboot, and requires rolling back Windows to a previous save point to resolve.

This issue can be prevented by whitelisting the following three folders in Kaseya:

  1. C:\PreVeil

  2. C:\PreVeilData

  3. C:\Users\*username*\PreVeil-username@domain.com

The first two folders listed above apply to all users that have PreVeil installed on their computers. The third folder is user specific and does not get generated until the user creates their PreVeil account, so this folder should be whitelisted in Kaseya after the user creates their account and before they reboot their computer.
