PreVeil administrators can access Activity Logs for their organization from the Admin Console. Activity Logs provide a record of system activity and changes that have happened during a specified time interval. The log includes user events as well as admin actions and changes. Timestamp and user information is included, as well as topic category.

To view current log information, select Activity Logs from the Admin Console.

By default, the information displays all your organization activity, starting with the most recent events, but you have several filters you can apply:

Timeframe

The Timeframe filter allows you to narrow the scope of the Activity Logs based on a time period. You can chose from some pre-configured options or set a Custom Range.

Users

1. Start typing in the user’s name, until you see their entry. Click on it to apply the filter for that user.

2. The Activity Logs will now only show activities related to that specific user.

(Note: You can filter by more than one user at the same time. Just repeat step #1 above as many times as necessary to add all the users you want to filter by.)

Topic

By default, the Topic option is set to All; this means you are seeing every type of event that can occur in your organization. However, by clicking on the drop down menu next to Topic, you can filter by the following content options:

  • All - All the data in your organization

  • Admin - Any actions taken by a PreVeil administrator

  • System - System level events (users claiming accounts, devices being locked/unlocked< approval requests being inititiated/approved/denied)

  • Email - Any activity undertaken in Drive (creating a folder, sharing a folder, etc.)

  • Drive - Any activity undertaken in mail (sending an email)

  • Group - Any time a user is added to an organization and the group/org key is granted to them by the admin.

(Note: Some of the topics have sub-topic categories as well, which allows for further granularization of your filtering.)
