This functionality is available via a Lock button in a file’s details pane for files that are in shared folders in Drive.

The File Lock functionality feature is not available in files in unshared folders, or just stand alone files in Drive. This is because such files are unshared and private by design, meaning only the owner of those files would have the ability to edit them in the first place. |
