This topic covers instructions for installing a PreVeil account on a computer for the first time. If you already have a PreVeil account on another computer, tablet, or phone, read about copying an existing PreVeil account to a new device.
PreVeil is currently available for Windows 8 and above. PreVeil has a web client for email, and it also integrates into Outlook and Gmail.
PreVeil's browser requirements are Google Chrome, Internet Explorer 11, Microsoft Edge, or Mozilla Firefox.
1 . On the computer where you want to install PreVeil, go to https://www.preveil.com and click the "Install for Mac or Windows" button on the bottom banner.

2. On the next screen, click the "Download for Windows" button.
3. Another screen displays to let you know that the PreVeil installer is downloading.
When the download is complete, you can access the PreVeil.exe file in your Downloads folder or at the bottom left of your browser.
If you choose to run the installer from the downloaded file found at the bottom of your browser, click the up arrow to the right of the file name, and then select Open from the menu.
4. Open the file and run the installer. When the PreVeil Setup message box displays asking if you want to allow this app to make changes to your device, click Yes.
You are presented with the PreVeil License Agreement screen. Select the "I accept the agreement" radio button, and then click the "Next" button.
5. The installation begins. On the next screen, click "Install" to continue.
6. As the installation progresses, you will see a screen that looks like this:
Please be patient. The installation can take a few moments.
7. When the installation is complete, the following window displays. Click "Finish."
When PreVeil installs, it loads a shortcut to your desktop and to your Start menu. These shortcuts take you to the PreVeil web browser where you can check your PreVeil email once you have created your account.
8. At this time, the shortcut can be used to take you to the PreVeil website where you can create your new PreVeil email account.
