In PreVeil Drive, you have the ability to generate a link to a folder or file that you can then share with another PreVeil user to have them access that folder or file.

Info

Note: For users with a full PreVeil account, you need to be on the 5.5.0 build or higher to access the full range of this functionality. If you are on a lower version, you will only be able to share links with other full PreVeil users; those links will not work with users that have a PreVeil Express account; and vice versa, if a user with a PreVeil Express account generates a link and sends it to a full PreVeil user, that full PreVeil user can only access it if they are on 5.5.0 or higher.

  • This is an ease of access functionality that allows you to direct someone to a folder or file that you want them to access via a URL link you can generate and send to them.

  • Because Drive data needs to be explicitly shared with someone before they can access it, the links will work only for people you’ve already shared the data with.

  • Sending a link to someone who you’ve not already shared the data with will not grant them access to the data.
