Admin Console - Cloud Lock Settngs
Shortcut: http://127.0.0.1:4003/admin/cloud-settings
Cloud Lock is available on desktop version 5.5.1 and end users must have it installed to receive the setting changes. Go to preveil.com/download for the latest installer.
The Cloud Lock setting is an administrative feature that can be enabled or disabled at the organization level. By default, the setting is disabled.
When Cloud Lock is Enabled
Sync Rules Disabled: The sync rules for all folders across all organization members are set to "off" mode, preventing users from enabling sync on their folders.
Local Storage Impact: Folders with sync disabled are removed from the local computer’s storage system and will not be found in the mapped folder.
Notification: Organization members receive an email notification when the Cloud Lock setting is enabled.
Exceptions: Individual organization members can be excluded from the setting.
When Cloud Lock is Disabled
User Control Restored: Disabling Cloud Lock allows users to manage their folder sync rules independently.
Sync Rules: Toggling Cloud Lock from "on" to "off" does not restore previously set sync rules. All folders will remain in "off" mode when Cloud Lock is re-disabled.

Notes
When Cloud Lock is enabled the PreVeil-<email address> folder is not removed but all of its content. Items added to the folder are not synced. We advise administrators to enable or disable in off-production hours to avoid issues with interrupting work. If a file is open while Cloud Lock is in the course of being enabled it will not save to the cloud.
Cloud Lock does not completely stop user access to files locally. Users retain the ability to cloud-edit files. Cloud edit will be required if users need to edit files within their Drive and cloud lock is enabled.
Known issues queued for resolution
Users cannot download files on the browser application. Downloaded files go to the PreVeil Downloads folder in Drive, which you will not be able to synchronize to your local file system.
If users have files in the root location of Drive and Cloud Lock is disabled, the files will not synchronize to the local file system. The workaround is to move files to a sync-enabled folder.
Users cannot move files or subfolders from one shared folder in Drive to another within the browser application. Having the folders synced to the local file system does allow users to move data between them, but they are unable to do so in the browser application.
