New Functionality

  • Selective Sync V2 - Empowers users to choose what folders to sync regardless of the sync status of the parent folder. Simply select the folder(s) to sync and click the new Sync button in Drive's toolbar to open the Sync pop-up box and apply the new sync settings.

  • Drive Search - Now it's possible to search for files and folders in Drive by item name. A filter is conveniently located next to the search results to refine the output.

  • Multi file download - Users can now select multiple files and download them at the same time using the Download toolbar button in Drive. A new side panel will show the download progress.

Bug Fixes

  • UX improvements to the Email Gateway Admin page with additional descriptions of the relevant setup steps.

  • Admin UI bug fixes to the Mail Client Prompt toggle in General Settings.

  • General Drive bug fixes to improve file syncing.

  • Cloud Editing bug fix to support Word 2016.

  • Drive bug fix to ensure the name of a shared folder is not automatically reverted upon renaming it.

PreVeil Drive Search Limitations

Overview: Version 1 of PreVeil Drive search introduces several key limitations.

  1. Search Scope: The search functionality is limited to folder and file names only; it does not extend to content within the files.

  2. Performance: Each search queries all available content. This may affect search speed, particularly in systems with over 5000 items, as the ability to page through content or search within subsets of files is not available.

  3. Special Characters: Searches beginning with a space (e.g., " paper") on PDF files will return no matches.

  4. Folder Selection: Users cannot select specific folders to search; only global searches are supported in this version.
