If I’m only using PreVeil in my browser, why do I need to download anything?

PreVeil uses uncompromising end-to-end encryption to protect your data. This means that each document or message that goes through the PreVeil system is encrypted on your device before being sent to the PreVeil server or another user. Data is only decrypted once it reaches the recipient’s device. This encryption/decryption is performed by the PreVeil software that is installed on each device. 

If you have your PreVeil account on your mobile device and do not want to install software on your computer, you can choose to use Web PreVeil via the browser instead.
