Account subsume | Pulling an account into an existing organization |
Activity logs | Logs all activity done by a user (in user settings) or an organization (in the Admin console). |
Adding a device | Adding your private keys to another device to allow that device to access your PreVeil account |
Admin management group | A group that is created to approve organization level requests such as setting user recovery groups and assigning approval group activities.. The members of the admin management group must have admin permissions enabled. |
Approval group | A group that is created to approve different types of requests such as recovering an account (recovery group), making admin changes such as settings recovery groups for users and assigning approval groups to activities (admin management group), and exporting data (data export group). |
Approval requests | Approval requests contain all the active and historical approvals that have been requested from the user. |
Back end | Everything the user cannot see |
Data export group | A group that is created to approve data export requests. |
Data export | Allows admin to download a decrypted copy of their organizations data. An data export approval group must be set before data export is allowed. The data export approval group must approve all data export actions before they are allowed to happen. |
Deleting a device | Deleting your PreVeil private key from that device, not allowing it to access your PreVeil account. This is not reversible but the user can add the device back to their account at any time. |

Disconnecting a device | Deleting your PreVeil private key from the device the user is actively using. This is not reversible but the user can add the device back to their account at any time. |

Groups | Allows admin to create groups of users to easily send emails to those groups of users. |
Integration vs support | We integrate with most mail clients. We do not support all the mail clients we integrate with. You can use if but we don’t guarantee it will work. |
Locking a device | Temporarily disabling a device’s access to your PreVeil account. This is reversible |
MUA | Mail User Agent. Any email client that is usually a desktop application (outlook, outlook for mac, apple mail, etc.) |
Mail client | Any other email service such as gmail, outlook, etc. |
Organization admin approval requests | Organization wide admin requests such as account subsume, approval groups change, pending data exports |
Personal approvals | Actions that personal account needs to take such as recovering another user’s account |
Recovery group | Recovery groups assist in recovering lost accounts for users in the case they have lost access to the devices where they have their PreVeil accounts activated (activated is definitely not the right word for this). |
Trusted community | Toggle option. If turned on users in the organization will only be able to email and share files with other users in the organization, and with any addresses added to the whitelist. |
User onboarding | Toggle option. If turned off users in the organization will not receive a download link in the email inviting them to PreVeil. Best to turn off if the admin are pushing the download to the user’s machines. |
User device management | Toggle option. If turned off users in the organization are not allowed to add devices. This is an admin setting |
