What happens to my deleted emails, folders, and files?

  • Emails that you delete will be moved to the Trash bin in Mail. The Trash bin does not automatically purge deleted emails, but if you go into the Trash bin and manually delete emails from there, they will be permanently deleted. You also have the ability to restore deleted files or unshared folders from the Trash bin if needed as well.

  • Data in Drive that you delete will cause one of two things to happen:

    • Any files or unshared folders that you delete will be moved to the Trash bin in Drive. The Trash bin does not automatically purge deleted data, but if you are on the 4.16.0 or higher build of PreVeil, you will have the option to permanently delete data from the Drive Trash bin. You also have the ability to restore deleted files or unshared folders from the Trash bin if needed as well.

    • Any shared folders you delete will be removed from your Drive view and unsyced from your local device, but will still be accessible to re-add back to your Drive from the Shared section in the Drive menu. At this time, shared folders cannot be permanently deleted.
