Assigned Approval Group

An Approval Group that is assigned cannot be deleted. It will need to be replaced in its assignments. Approval groups can be assigned in three areas

  1. User Account Recovery

  2. Data Export

  3. Admin Management

To unassign the approval group, replace it with another. Assign another approval group where it is assigned. Note that the replacement of an approval group requires approval by the outgoing approval group.

Example

The approval group, Data Export AG, is to be deleted but we see it is currently assigned to Data Export.

A new approval group, Recovery Group 2, is assigned to Data Export which triggered the process of gathering approvals from Data Export AG.

A member of Data Export AG sees the approval request.

The request is approved by one member of the group.

The Data Export AG is configured as a five-member group and two required approvals. One more approval and the change will take effect. An approval by any other member of the group will satisfy the condition of two required approvals.

Once done, the Data Export AG group is completely unassigned and able to be deleted.
