Email Gateway Instructions
Create an email gateway user and copy its key to the email gateway server
The user must be of the same domain as the users in your PreVeil organization
How-to
In your commercial email system go to the admin console and create an email account as preveil.gateway@<YourDomain>.com (alternatively an email alias can be set to an existing account, see instructions for Office 365)
Go to your PreVeil account, click admin, and add user. Set the user as preveil.gateway@<yourdomain>.com, first name PreVeil, last name Gateway, department Email Gateway.
Login to preveil.gateway@<yourdomain>.com and open the invite email. Click the button to join the organization.
The account will be generated on your computer. If you have multiple PreVeil accounts on your machine you may switch by placing the mouse over your name in the upper right corner
Email support@preveil.com when done, and we will schedule a call to copy the gateway user’s key to the gateway server. It is the same as procedure as adding a device, but I will be on the destination device.
Populate the External Email Addresses list in the Email Gateway page of the Admin Console
Decide on a domain name for your email gateway system
A common choice is the subdomain secure.<YourDomain>.com.
If you are hosting with SCI, I will send you the DNS records to add to your DNS host once the server is online at SCI and assigned a public IP
Apply for a server component SSL/TLS certificate
If you are hosting with SCI, the Certificate Signing Request (CSR) will be sent to you by PreVeil Support
If you are to comply with the Defense Industrial Base, apply for a Server Component ECA certificate at Widepoint ORC
Otherwise, a common server component certificate will do. Vendors include DigiCert and Identrust.
Do not apply for an email or web server certificate. It is important to apply for a SSL/TLS server component certificate
