Offboarding a User From Your PreVeil Organization
If you need to remove a user from your PreVeil organization, you can use these steps to completely offboard them:
Perform a Data Export for that user’s account. This will allow you to download a copy of that user’s account data should you wish to retain it, as well as activity logs related to their account. You can find instructions for performing a Data Export here:
Admin Console - Data Export. If the user has their PreVeil mail integrated with Outlook, you could also export their mail data as a PST file: Back up your email.
If the user is a member of an Approval Group, that group will need to be replaced and deleted before you will be able to delete the user from your organization. You can find instructions for doing so here: Admin Console - Approval Groups
If the user is an administrator, their administrator role can be designated to another active user in the organization. Instructions for promoting a user to administrator can be found in the Changing a User’s Role section of this support article: Admin Console - Users
If the user has any shared folders in their Drive, and those folders were shared with the Edit & Share level permission with any other users, those other users will have ownership of those folders moving forward.
Delete the user from your organization via the steps found in the Deleting Users section of this support article: Admin Console - Users.
Note: If you have an Approval Group set to the Admin Management activity, the deletion of the user’s account will need to be approved by the members of that group before the deletion request will complete.
