Domain Lock

A domain lock is a security setting that prevents unauthorized attempts to create an individual PreVeil that is associated with an organization’s email domain. The setting makes it so associates may only claim a PreVeil account from an organization administrator’s invite.

Example

The Acme organization is associated with the acme-e2ee.com email domain. The administrators requested of PreVeil to enable domain lock. If an employee attempts to create an individual account using acme-e2ee.com he will be stopped because the domain is locked to the organization. Please see Contact your organization's IT admin to get an invitation to join PreVeil.

Organization administrators are encouraged to add all domain users to the organization to be part of the compliance boundary.

  1. Organizational PreVeil accounts can be subject to GovCloud storage settings

  2. Org accounts can be audited by an org administrator

  3. Org accounts can be logged and those logs are accessible by an org administrator

  4. Org accounts can be recovered by an approval group approved by an org administrator

  5. The members of an approval group are members of the organization
