Admin Console - Trusted Community

Trusted Community is a feature in a PreVeil organization that restricts communication to a whitelisted set of trusted domains and/or user email addresses. If Trusted Community is enabled, the administrator of a PreVeil organization can manage which external PreVeil users the members of that organization can communicate with by maintaining a whitelist of approved external email addresses or domains.

Enabling Trusted Community

To enable Trusted Community:

  • Click the Admin Console icon in the upper right-hand corner of the PreVeil browser application, and then select Trusted Community from the menu.

  • You will receive a notification that Trusted Community has been enabled.

  • Once Trusted Community has been enabled, if any of your organization’s users tries to communicate with an external PreVeil recipient who has not been whitelisted, they will receive the an email notification indicating the presence of the Trusted Community and the requirement to whitelist external PreVeil users.

Conversely, non-Trusted Community PreVeil users who send an email or share a folder with the members of your organization will be notified of the Trusted Community setting.
