Uninstall PreVeil from Windows

To fully uninstall PreVeil from Windows, you can use the following steps:

  1. Open Windows File Explorer.

  2. Navigate to C:\PreVeil

  3. Run the Uninstall.exe located there.

  4. When the pop-up box appears:

    1. To remove your private key data from the device, check the box to “Remove Private Key Data”, and then click on the Uninstall button. Otherwise, keep this box unchecked if you are reinstalling so that you can access your account again.

  5. For users that are uninstalling 5.8.x or older versions:

    1. Once the uninstall has completed, in File Explorer, navigate to C:\Users\[the user's Windows profile folder], and delete the PreVeil folder located there.

    2. Open the Recycle Bin, right-click the PreVeil folder you just deleted, and choose either Delete or the trash can icon to fully remove it from the computer.
