Time-based one-time password (TOTP)

Creation of a PreVeil Express account now comes with an option of using a TOTP-compatible app for multi-factor authentication. TOTP is a computer algorithm that generates a one-time password that uses the current time as a source of uniqueness.

The first four steps in PreVeil Express account creation remain the same. Upon reaching step five you will be prompted to choose a second factor in authentication. Proceed with the following steps.

1. Is there a way to change the TOTP method?
   Yes, switch your MFA method to SMS and then back to TOTP to reconfigure it.

2. Is this included for full PreVeil and Web PreVeil?
   Currently, it is only relevant for PreVeil Express users.

3. Is TOTP required for account recovery when my account is a member of an organization?
   Yes, all processes that require the PreVeil Express user to log in would require TOTP authentication when set.
