Locking a device

PreVeil’s device management feature allows you to remotely lock a lost or compromised device. When a device is locked, it will not show any data or perform any actions in the PreVeil system. If the locked device is recovered, it can be unlocked from any other device with the same PreVeil account.

 

 

To lock one of your devices, hover over the Settings menu in the browser, then click on the Device Management option and you’ll see the following screen

 

To lock or unlock your account, simply click on the three dots menu to the right of the device name. You’ll see the option to Rename or Unlock your device. If the device is already Unlocked, you’ll see the option to Lock the device.

 

If someone tries to access your account from that device, the screen will now indicate it is locked
