Manually add PreVeil to your mail client

PreVeil can be added to your favorite desktop mail client so you can continue to use your preferred systems while enjoying the security benefits PreVeil provides. The following screenshots show how to add PreVeil to Outlook for Mac, but the process is similar for any other client.

 

First navigate to Add to Mail Client in your PreVeil Settings.

Click on Click here for instructions for manually add PreVeil to other email program to expand the screen and access the instructions.

 

 

Scroll down to view the instructions.

 

 

Open your mail client and navigate to your Preferences. Open Accounts in your Personal Settings. Click to add a New Account.

 

 

 

 

 

In the next screen, enter the email address you used to create your PreVeil account.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the next screen, be sure to select Not Google? if you have signed up on PreVeil using a gmail address.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Select IMAP/POP to continue.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Enter the information found in PreVeil. Make sure you don’t leave a trailing space at the end of the password.

The click Add Account.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Your account will now be added to your mail client.

Make sure to expand your account to view your inbox and other folders by clicking on the arrow next to your secure email address.

 

It may be useful for you to rename the inbox to indicate the difference between your regular inbox and your PreVeil secure inbox.
