What happens if I share a PreVeil Drive folder with someone who doesn't have PreVeil?
Just like What happens if I send someone a PreVeil email but they don’t have PreVeil?, if you try to share a folder through PreVeil with someone who is not yet using PreVeil, your intended recipient will receive a personalized invitation asking them to join PreVeil.
When composing an email in the PreVeil browser app, you will see a visual indicator as to whether or not that intended recipient has a PreVeil account:
An orange stripe to the left of their name indicates they have a PreVeil account, and they will receive an email notification that you’ve shared a folder with them in PreVeil Drive.
A gray stripe to the left of the email address indicates they do not have a PreVeil account, and they will be sent an invitation to create a free PreVeil Express account.
The intended recipient will then receive an invitation email that will invite them to create a free PreVeil Express account.
Once this is complete, you will receive an in-PreVeil notification that they have created their account. You will then need to re-share the folder with them to give them access.
